This was a fantastic tour. If you are going to do an ocean road tour this is the one to do. As advertised it was a small group, the trip ran to time and we saw lots of places but it never felt at all rushed, there was plenty of time to see the sights and to explore. Travis is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and you learn a lot. We stopped at some stunning locations and Travis managed to time it brilliantly so that we missed most of the big tour groups. We also saw 2 koalas! There was lovely food provided for morning tea and dinner and there were loads of options to choose from when...Brilliant tour
Travis‘s Melbourne Small Group Tours is definitely the best tour you can do. Some positive aspects I really enjoyed: - tour starts at 9 AM so you get to sleep in - pickup point is very centrally at Flinders street, so no hotel pickups where you cruise around for ages - you can pick lunch yourself, therefore no boring sandwiches - we stopped at various cool beaches/viewpoints/attractions - interesting stories and fun facts - the whole experience was very personalized and the people were great - dinner was yummy too and for free!
Overall: I can 100% recommend you this tour. ...Definitely the best Great Ocean Road Tour
WE are a family of four. We chose the small tour as we knew we wanted to start off from the city a bit later. It turned out to be awesome. Getting to the pickup place was short and quick (much better than getting up early and hopping onto the tour bus and picking many others along the way in the city). Travis was just the right kind of friendly and informative. Not too much. Not too little. He amped up and tempered down his guide-talk based on the needs of the group. He was great with the kids and answered their questions patiently. We had adequate time at each spot and enjoyed the abili...Great action packed, yet relaxing tour
Travis was an excellent tour guide with melbourne small group tours. we had a small group of 4 people total. the day starts with a central hotel location pick up and individual drop offs at night. it is a longer day on the great ocean but so worth it (13hrs) but that's because travis wants you to take time to soak in the view and history of the road and just think about what it all means, which is much appreciated.
he's been in the business for years and it shows. he is knowledgeable about the great ocean road, australian world war 1 history, how to get a koala off the road (he d...great ocean road day!!!
Travis was fantastic. Even small little details like music that was perfectly chosen for the scenery (We're On a Road to Nowhere when we started off, Home when we were returning - we were seriously impressed). There were four of us in total and Travis really knew what he was doing. The rainforest was amazing, and Travis even saved a koala that was sitting in the middle of the road. We loved the relaxed pace that gave us plenty of time to see everything - and the later dinner was fun and relaxed. We made friends with the other people on the tour and hope we see them again someday. Really,...One of the best things we did in Australia
We were collected together in front of the Rendezvous Hotel on flinder street, which was very convenient as we were out of the city in 5-10mintues. There was 10 of us including myself, a mixture of group from different ethnic groups. I was a solo traveler but didn't feel excluded during the tour. Travis is very good at bringing the group together! We didn't have a great weather to begin with but was lucky to have the sun peak through and have morning tea with an amazing view, along with yummy treats that Travis prepared for us. The most thing people would normally worry about is the tim...Perfect from start to end!
I highly recommend this smaller tour if you'd like a more entertaining and enjoyable day! Travis' Small Group Tour was so much more fun than the big bus tours I took. I'm very glad I chose his company for the Great Ocean Road tour as it was more relaxed and personalized. Travis' quirky sense of humor and special music choices made the trip a laugh, or a blast as we say in the U.S. He made sure that all of us on the van were introduced and got to know each other. Travis was also very accommodating and patient with my slow walking and occasional inability to keep up with the rest of the gr...Small group, big fun!
